April Update

Unfortunately it has been a while again, sorry for that.

Not too much has been going on down here. Spring has arrived, some nice weather the past week. I have been working on the bar a lot, I can see the light, of course with a lot of help from my neighbor. Now its just time for the trim work and put in its final place.

The girls are doing well. As I type, Kayla is in Alabama for her Easter trip to spend some time with her dad. Maddy is being her usual "all business" self in the meantime.

The animals are good, although there is one new one now. Just before Easter we adopted a Shepherd Husky mix, now named Max. Sadie is not too fond of him at the moment, he wants to play - she does not. He wants to play with Samson (the cat) - he does not. He wants to play with Marley (the bird) - he does not. Only animal to play with him is Miller - black lab next door.

Other than that we are still just going day to day. Laura is enjoying her new job, now there a month and a half. I am just at my job, not much more to be said about that. I'll get some pics up here of the bar in progress and of the new pup Max.

Moving on....

Been a little while since my last post. Not much been going on in the family lately except my honey is moving on to new and better things.
First, she graduated with her Associates degree from DevRy University. I know I am, and I believe everyone else is so proud of here, working full time, having to deal with me, and she made it through. Shortly after the graduation, she was offered a great position at a new company much closer to home. Yesterday was her first day, couple hours back in her day is a great thing!

Other than that, everything else is still pretty much the same....except Spring is on its way, time to get outside, do some yardwork, enjoy some outdoor air!

Chistmas and New Year's Update

Christmas came and went pretty quick again this year. The fall went by really fast, which is fine with me, the quicker we get back to spring and summer the better. Although, the cold weather gives us an excuse to play pool more often. This year we were able to hang our Christmas lights outside, since last year we only moved into the house one week prior to Christmas. Of course that did not stop us from getting our tree only a week before. Next year I want to take the girls to a tree farm where we walk around looking for the right tree and then we cut it down and bring it home. Something that I really enjoyed as a kid, so I hope the girls would enjoy it too. And now I am old enough to use the saw to cut down the tree!

Laura and I lucked out with some time off between Christmas and New Year, which was well deserved and sorely needed! I am not sure we really went further than the local Wawa the entire week. But now I am in year end mode, we are moving along on the audit, getting our year end numbers squared away. Hopefully before midnight Friday we are signed off.

Tomorrow, January 16th, Maddy turns 4. Very hard to believe it has been four years already. I couldn't believe it when Olivia turned 5.
Well, if anyone reads this, wish you a Happy and healthy New Year!
