Well, I guess I am as bad as Scott lately about updating this. We have been through all the holidays, to NJ and back, very long trip but we all survived. I think we need to buy a Winnebago before doing that again in the minivan.
First off, we now only own one house. After the trip to NJ, firing the old realtor, doing some cleaning and painting, and slight rearranging (moving a fridge from the basement to the kitchen) the house was sold within two weeks. Big thanks to Al on that one!! So we are finally back to a single mortgage, so a huge stress is off our backs. Now we can focus on making our current abode a little nicer with our extra income.
The girls are doing well. School wise, doing just fine. Karate, as far as I am aware, they are enjoying it and I believe after this Saturday should be moved up another belt color. Might be time to get them both into blackbelt training.
Kayla is currently taking hip-hop dance and her recital coming up soon. She has been working hard each week in preparation.
Maddy's extra curricular activity has been t-ball. We have quickly found out it was a bit different than the Stafford township girls t-ball league. This is co-ed, and they are hard core about their ball down here. Just this evening we had a doubleheader, lost in the pre-season tournament championship game. I think some of these 5-6 year olds can throw a ball better than I could. I will try to take some video of one of the regular season games and figure out how to post it here so you can see how good they are and the competitiveness around here.
All in all I think things are good. Work has been stressful for the both of us, a new year for my group and Laura is working very hard on her ever changing role.
Maybe now with our newfound additional income we will be able to have a pool installed. We'll see, it would be nice to have a "backyard" oasis to escape to after returnning home. The bonus is down here in Fl, we get to use a pool for the majority of the year.
And one other thing that I will highlight, Laura and I celebrated our "first" anniversary. Yes it has been four years already, coming up on eight years since I began my relationship with my beautful wife!
I think I have covered most of what I can remember at this point, and I will add more photos as I find them on the cameras.
